Ancillary Tasks

For our ancillary tasks we had to choose two out of three tasks to complete and present with our film to complement it. There was a choice of:


1) A poster promoting the film.
2) A magazine article promoting and reviewing the film.
3) A radio trailer for the film

We decided to pick the poster and the magazine article.


For the poster we wanted to tell the audience that this was going to be an action thriller, so we looked at how other industries had promoted films with a similar genre in poster format. The inspiration for the inichial image was that of the van as an iconic symbol within our film, so we knew that we had to have the film in the poster. Also we observerd that main charaters are often positioned in the poster so that people can recognise famious actors and actresses. For example there were a number of posters printed for 'Law Abiding Citizen' with Gerard Butler or Jamie Foxx's faces dominating the whole poster.






So as a result we put in some abstrate faces of the the main cast of our film mainly me, Emma and Gilbert.
